staff handbook this is done in character and is not part of the site rules. keep in mind, breaking the 'school rules' may result in consequences from the headmaster or the law.
here at brentwood academy, we expect our teachers to teach not only academics, but morale. all teachers shall engage in positive behavior both on and off campus. while away from home, you are the 'parental unit' for each child and are expected to enforce the school rules.
Respect - teachers will have not only respect for each other, but for themselves and the students as well.
Class - you are required to follow the outlined provided for you at the beginning of each term. lesson plans should be made accordingly and should not deviate from the material that must be taught. we take education very seriously here and expect our students to excel.
curfew - this is at your discretion, however it his highly suggested that you return to your housing at an appropriate time. if you are on housing duty, then you are expected to return to campus thirty minutes prior to student curfew to be able to account for each student.
drugs and alcohol - this is a dry campus. that means that no alcohol should be consumed or brought on campus. on your days off, you are obviously entitled to your personal time, however remember you are still representing brentwood. drug use will not be tolerated and is grounds for termination of employment.
dating - dating amongst each other is highly frowned upon.
off campus - you are representing brentwood while off campus. anyone caught participating in illegal activities will face termination of employment
dress code - this is a professional establishment and you must dress accordingly during school hours.
corruption of youth - teachers are in no way, shape or form corrupt the youth at brentwood academy. this includes but is not limited to, providing alcohol, allowing to break school rules, engaging in sexual activity or romantic relationships, corporal punishment, harassment, bullying, etc.
