Times have been peaceful in the world. The Society had kept order for the past few centuries with their rules and regulations. They keep tabs on all the supernatural beings making sure they do not cause harm and panic in the world. But, like with most things, there is a darker side to them. With all the rules set on the creatures out there, there are trouble makers. Not everyone likes the rules. They feel that they are demeaning and harsh. how can they take the nature of people and say that it is wrong and set laws against them? And to make matters worse the Society has decided once a supernatural being reaches a certain age, they will be put to death to protect the balance of the world and their laws.
People have always disagreed and acted to end this. These formed a rebellion that has been raging for many many centuries. Most of the time hidden away tucked in the shadows waiting, but over the years they have popped out and taken action. The Society has always managed to quench the flames though. This time things are different. The Rebellion has taken drastic measures to gather support and members. They have caused murders that, under the rules of the Society, mean death for those who committed such crimes and are pinning these acts on innocent people. Family and friends who have lost their loved ones to death by the Society for murders they did not commit with no trial have flocked to the Rebellion's aid. And hybrids have been born and nearly all are for the Rebellion for the Society sees them as abominations that should be destroyed. Some hide away while others actively fight for their freedom, along with all the others who disagree with the way the Society had been running the world.
Now in New York City, in a school run by the Society, two students have been accused of murder. The Society has kept it on the down low, but for how long? Rumors tend to spread like wildfire in schools after all. But when a teacher is murdered, tensions skyrocket. Now no one knows who to trust. Who is a Rebel? Who is with the Society? Can anyone really be safe anymore? People can be cut down for no other reason than to spite the Society, and in retaliation others are hurt to try and right the wrongs done. Only so much can be done before either the Rebellion fails again, or the Society is brought down once and for all.
But a question still remains.
Who will You fight for?
As the Time Goes By
