She’s definitely the social butterfly and gets along pretty easily, considering how much she loves to talk. But true friends are hard to come by and Carol knows that, preferring very much to keep only a small circle of confidants. She’s rather selective with who she chooses to share information on her personal life with, and somehow seems drawn to people with more “introverted” personalities. Carol can be a great friend who knows how to have fun at the right times and is also a good listener, but to be brutally honest, though she is a very emotional person who gets caught up easily by the problems of others, she is a very horrible comforter. Carol is often at a loss when people approach her to talk about their problems. Sure you can rant to her, but you definitely can’t expect her to help you solve your problems. It would do her well to have a few close friends who she can relate to.

Enemies:
Carol, being a pacifist, dislikes making any form of enemies since her upbringing consists of Asian parentage, which constantly emphasizes on harmony. But what’s life without a few enemies? Carol’s quirky personality often clashes with the more stereotype versions of popular, as she is quick to rebuff their comments with sarcasm. Carol does not take any form of ostracism in well and she cannot stand the populars and elites who form big cliques to gang up against anyone who deviates from their own species. Also, her talkativeness often serves to annoy certain people; maybe not so much of hate, but perhaps a person who relishes the “cool” or “quiet” may find her particularly distasteful in such an aspects. Oh and mind you, Carol’s pretty narrow-minded. This girl may forgive, but she will never forget.

Love:
Relationships aren't the top on her list now, but they're definitely welcome. Carol needs a boy who is generous with his care to her, as she often suffers from anxiety issues and needs comforting once in a while. She warms up to people pretty easily (as long as they're friendly too), so it's rather easy to get close to her. Wouldn't put it past her to experience flings from her personality, but what she really needs is something serious.

Friends:
Joel doesn’t talk much (or at least, he doesn’t spew nonsense a lot), so it’ll be hard for people to get close to him if they’re waiting for him to take the initiative. He’s more of a magnet guy, which means he’d rather people approach him first, as he believes that those people who do so are more sincere in maintaining a friendship with him. It makes him seem like an anti-social jerk at times, but he doesn’t really care he doesn’t really care about anything, actually. But once you get past that, he can actually be a very goofy guy, which is why he’s not shunned away from society despite his attitude.

Enemies:
Given that he rarely shoots his mouth, Joel doesn’t really make many enemies, unless they can really piss him off, which takes a lot. He’ll only take things personally if you insult his family or his friends, which can really cause him to hit the roof since this is Joel’s sensitive spot. He also has a strong dislike for bimbotic people and he often finds it meaningless to entertain them. But as long as you don’t rub him in the wrong way, he’s pretty chill with everyone, though his silent personality might probably make him pretty unlikeable to some.

Love:
Unless you can break past the awkward stage with him, Joel’s pretty much uncomfortable with women since he stereotypes females into nasal high-pitched creatures standing on gulfs beyond his reach. He’s like a turtle and tends to shy away from members of the opposite sex, partially because he’s not very confident about how he looks and would rather stay away than present himself as a stammering fool. Open to anything in this area.

Welcome!! ♥ So these are my Brentwood babies. I find it a bit easier to show you who they are, give you a little bio about them and where they are currently. No one knows your character like you, so you tell me what/if you see anything with any of them. Don't be afraid to suggest things because I do love drama! If you're interested in knowing more about any of them here is the plotter for my high school students and though I haven't included any of them here, these are my locals, two of which just graduated from Brentwood.

Ara is down to earth, grounded and is nothing like the other Brentwood snobby bitches, she actually can't stand that sort of thing. She can be sweet, she's sassy and cross her you'll find out she's a total spitfire. Ara is independent and doesn't go for the whole girly, Damsel in distress routine. Basically she's just a typical teenager, doing her thing, trying not to think about the unfortunate things that she went through with her brother Kai and their mother's death. She is extremely intelligent and doesn't try to hide it, instead uses it to her advantage. As a junior, she was president of the national honor society, student council and business club. Her career has always been her main focus and Courtney even got an early acceptance to the Fashion Institute so she could complete her senior year at Brentwood while beginning her first year in design school. But, all of that changed or at least on some level. Courtney fell in love with (basic) Tyler Hemsworth and after a very dramatic love triangle, the two of them are together and have just had a daughter, Isabelle Catherine. A dancer, Eliza was invited to audition for the California Ballet Company, so she took this opportunity to convince her father that this was going to be a good experience, but that was only partial truth. Eliza comes from a very traditional family where the girls are all prepared for a life set out for them, including their future husband, but she wants no part of that in the least. a hopeless romantic, eliza wants to find love and that forever fairytale happiness, so her intention is to hopefully make it into the ballet so she never has to go home again. She is sweet, soft-spoken (but not timid or naive) and once you get to know her she can be quite silly. Most of her life was devoted to dancing, though she's looking to change that up a little and finally allow herself to be a normal teenager and actually partake in social activity since she missed out on so much of that because of her focus in regards to dance. Her love of music was one of those, so Gia put that aside, at least on the outside so she didn't have to constantly hear about how pathetic she was. Girl gamer is one way to describe Gia. She finds something comforting in the ability to retreat and just play video games. Up until she found out she was pregnant, Gia was also a social butterfly and a party girl. She is still quite social, but the partying came to an abrupt halt. Gia has traded all of that in for her favorite role, mom. She and her boyfriend Tommy are new parents to twins, Benjamin and Darcy and even if it's not the perfect timing, Gia couldn't be happier. [/style][/style][/style] [/style]

Jae is humble, she's sweet and while she is well aware of her strengths and where she comes from, she does not draw light to it. She's an advocate and stands up for what she believes in. If you can get past the exterior shyness, you'll realize that she's your typical teenager who loves to do cliche girly things. Niya is social, she loves hanging out with her friends, partying (not drinking, just having fun), shopping, going out to the movies, that sort of thing. Music is her dream and one day she wants to be a professional singer. but, with that comes the chance that it won't happen and she knows that. Niya is extremely intelligent though she doesn't try to hide it, she doesn't act like a know it all either. She has a fiery side to her and if she thinks someone is being hurt or bullied, Niya is the first person to defend them. She can be quite innocent in certain ways, but that's her own personal choice. Don't confuse that with her being naive, because she's not in any way. Olivia is following in her mothers footsteps and is an actress. She's had a few small, reoccurring roles on tv shows and has been in a couple commercials. Olivia is a silly-heart, loves to joke around and maybe play a few pranks here and there. She can be situationally dramatic (in a fun way). Olivia loves to be social, hang out with her friends and just have fun being a teenager. Basically, she's come all the way across the world with hopes that she will develop a relationship with her half-brother, but she's hopeful and is looking forward to everything that goes along with it. Romeo can see the world for the beauty that most don't and he has a way of capturing it in a picture in ways most people couldn't dream. What he does then is manipulates it into something beyond imaginable, beautify in a rare form and something so breathtaking that he's been selling his artwork since the age of eight. Romeo is a bit of a flirt, but a romantic at heart. He loves to just be around people and in a sense live a normal life for the son of a multimillionaire. Really, he's just doing his own thing. What you see isn't always what you get, but you won't even understand that part unless you've crossed her. Sofia comes across as very sweet, outgoing, fun, bubbly, social butterfly and basically just an all around great friend to have. She's a cheerleader, she writes for the school newspaper, dabbles in blogging, national honor society, student council and so on. What you don't see is the devious side of her and that is putting it mildly. While what you see isn't a lie, it's a hazy smoke that covers the rest of her. Sofia and Ellie are a force you don't really want to reckon with because they are sneaky and under the radar. No one would ever believe that those 'sweet twins' are capable of doing things like setting someone and getting them expelled. They are vindictive, perceptive, intelligent and one step ahead of everyone else. Both twins are fueled by different things, for Sofia it's a fear of rejection, so she makes sure that she never is. Unless you cross her you'll never see that side to her, so don't fret. When it comes to matters of the heart she tends to only date casually and steps away before it can get serious or she can be let down. In terms of friendships, while it may seem like she has close friends it's all at a distance for her. The only person she can trust wholeheartedly is her twin Ellie. He's become something of a loose cannon when it comes to his decision making skills, or apparent lack thereof, and while he does have his good days, they are equally countered by his bad ones. He's the guy that won't give a shit if he hurts your feelings, and there's only a select few occasions where he would ever have any sort of drive to apologize, and even then, the apology is usually coerced out of him. He's dealing with (or not dealing with, rather) some pretty heavy stuff, having just recently learned that his parents had died, and he's definitely the type that isn't particularly fond of getting or asking for help. Most of the things he says you probably shouldn't take to heart, because he has a bad habit of speaking before he thinks things through, and he's been known to lash out when he feels like he's being cornered. He acts before thinking too, but that's an entirely different story. He's definitely the drama baby; he admitted to his best friend that he loved him near the end of his junior year, and when he learned that his parents were dead, he also found out he has a half sister. He does enjoy himself a party, and music is his scene, so he's fairly 'social', but befriending him stands a 50/50 chance, but since starting a relationship with Brady, he's definitely mellowed out a bit, [/style]

He puts his friends so far before himself, it's unreal, and he's all about making sure they're all safe and happy. He's got his fair share of issues to work through, though. When he was fifteen, a fight with his older brother that he caused, lead to his parents being called home early, and that ultimately lead to his parents' accident when they're car was hit by a drunk driver. He has yet to let go of the guilt and still blames himself for them dying, and he still has yet to let anyone in on what he's going through. About half way through his junior year, his younger sister ran away, and he hasn't let go of the guilt over being unable to help her. To add onto that, he and his girlfriend found out they were expecting twins. He's definitely had his fair share of drama and obstacles, but he's been trying not to let any of it bring him down, but it's only a matter of time before it does. He loves music, and even though it's taken a backseat to everything else right now, he refuses to abandon it. [/style]

He's fairly laid back when it comes to most things, and the only thing he tends to get really defensive about it when people start asking questions and prying into his history, as while he hasn't had a traumatic childhood by any means, it definitely isn't one he's fond of. He as in and out of foster homes from the age of five to the age of eight, when he was finally adopted into a well off family. He's been dealing with his older brother being in and out of trouble, and that's definitely something that weighs heavily on him since the two are fairly close. Griffin is often found in the company of his best friend, and she's definitely become one of the most important people in his life. He's easy to befriend though, as he absolutely loves people. He's fairly family oriented, and his older brother is, by far, who he considered to be his idol. He's been known to make snap decisions based on very little, and he definitely speaks and acts before thinking whenever he gets anxious or otherwise stressed out. Music is his heart and soul, and it's definitely one of the few things he takes seriously. He's confident, but he isn't overly or excessively arrogant, and while he'll say he's good with a smile, he isn't big on flaunting it. He's easy to get along with though, assuming you have the proper mindset, and a whole boat load of patience. [/style]

Music is definitely a very large part of her life, and she's become very focused on it. Her best friends are her entire world, and she would go to the end of the earth and back again, and do anything in her power to help them and keep them happy. She's been known to drag people on some really insane adventures, ranging from painting statues all the way to hand fishing (or attempting to do so) at the beach, and she's constantly looking for new sources of entertainment. He was diagnosed to have bipolar disorder when he was fifteen, and he's been struggling with staying on medication. He doesn't have an issue with a poor self esteem, but he is conscious that he isn't anything like the other people found in Los Angeles. He and his brother and best friend moved to Los Angeles from Huntington Beach at the start of summer break, so he's still fairly new to the area, so his list of friends aren't all that substantial. He's fairly sensible, despite all of his issues, and while he has been struggling with his disorder and his temper, he's managed to stay on top of things regardless. She's a free spirit, she doesn't see the need in letting things make her upset or bring her down, and for the most part, a lot of upsetting things get rolled right off her back. She has her own issues, but they certainly seem to pale in comparison to the others, so for the most part, she is pretty average. She doesn't like to draw attention to herself, and she lives a pretty down to earth and ordinary lifestyle. She's got the necessary funds to go all out on what she wants, but she chooses not to, so she's become fairly humble despite where she lives. She's easy to get along with, assuming she isn't encountering a total headcase. [/style]

His cousin (Niya) could easily be considered his best friend, and he often relies on her to feel comfortable in any conversation or situation. He's terribly shy, and he would more often than not be found on the sidelines of a crowd, and on the off chance that he ever is the center of attention, you could bet your bottom dollar that he's looking for a way out of it. He was headstrong before the accident and it's definitely increased ever since, and the only person he really ever leans on for help and support is his twin brother Gavin. He walks around with a chip on his shoulder that's probably three sizes too large for his own good. He has every potential to be a romantic, or a sweetheart, even, if only he would open up and let people in, maybe admit that he can't do everything on his own like he once was able to. His twin brother is definitely, by far, his best friend, and while he certainly can't do much, he would do absolutely anything in his power for him. [/style]

omg, I can’t stress on how much these two people’s personalities are alike especially how they hate the snobs. Maybe they could have a run-in somewhere and start building up a friendship.

Carol and Eliza:
These two ladies are from the same ring and I guess because of that they’ll interact far more than any of the others. And my goodness, her personality is something which Carol will definitely flock to. I’m sure they’ll turn out to be close friends if they interact or anything. Plus, Carol is really in need of a friend now so I guess Elisa would do her good :>

Carol and Gavin:
D’aww Gavin sounds like a cutie who Carol would tease when she sees him hahaha. Maybe to the point Gavin will get pissed with her xD

Carol and Gia:
Carol should be able to hit off well with Gia because of their shared passion for arts plus the video games. Maybe a passby at a game store or something would work. Probably Carol would end up shocked too, since she’s rather new here and pretty much stereotypes populars into a bunch of bimbos lol

Carol and Jae-Hwa:
Ooh haha this would be interesting. Jae-Hwa would probably know Carol through the sciences, since Carol is extremely interested in the biomedical field herself and would like to make a breakthrough one day. Not to mention both of them share the same heritage (Carol is Korean-American) so probably they’d get along based on this fact too haha

Carol and Niya:
Carol would probably know Niya from being in the same social circle and having the same passion for music :> She would probably enjoy hanging around Niya too, so I guess perhaps they could meet up for a movie or two sometime?

I have a feeling she’ll be attracted to him somehow since he has the “I’ll protect you” vibe which she is usually drawn to.

Carol and Ashton:
Another music fella. Carol would enjoy hanging out with Ashton a lot since they’re from the same ring and especially since both of them loveeee talking haha. Maybe they can go round doing retarded stuff together LOL

Carol and Lucas:
She’d be the one approaching him first to talk, since he is the more shy one. She would know him from being in the same grade. Carol would probably drag him along on photoshoots I think mostly of her dog, that cray dog woman

Carol will know Gabriel through Gavin or through being in the same grade as him. She’ll admire his independent attitude a lot and I think would enjoy talking to him :>

BRADY & CAROL - brady can definitely be the social butterfly. for his first two and a half years at brentwood, he was actually deemed an artist (and when i made him he was one) but social popularity and his ability to make things happened shot him up into the elite circle. like i said, he doesn't really care about any of that and just likes having fun and making things interesting and happen. i'm sure they'd definitely be cool, but depending on how heated things get with noah and carol, it can shift their friendship. brady and noah are beyond attached at the hip and have been since their freshman year, now that they're dating they're attached even more.

ARA & CAROL - ara is brand new to school, she's a freshman, but she's also never been to a formal school setting and was always homeschooled so all of this is new for her. i say definitely close for these two.

ELIZA & CAROL - eliza definitely is in need of friends. she spent her entire life foregoing friendship to concentrate on dancing and now she wants a normal life and be able to balance the two. eliza's sweet and though sometimes her shy exterior can come across as her being snobby she's definitely not. i can see them getting along quite well.

GAVIN & CAROL - this sounds like it can be an infuriatingly adorable friendship, bickering and just carol frustrating the hell out of him. i like it!!!

GIA & CAROL - gia can't stand that whole social status thing and to her she prefers people who are real no matter who they are. she's never pretended to be anything but a girl gamer and a party girl because that was always who she was. now she's a mom. i'm sure these two can get along quite well.

JAE & CAROL - it sounds like these two have a lot in common between interests, goals and heritage. i think they will get along really well!!!

NIYA & CAROL - niya's very easy going and just sort of loves everyone and can see the best in everything. i'm sure they will get along well enough and spend time together and just hang out, that sort of thing.

XD maybe I should have worded it better. Noah's an ass, but he wouldn't go out of his way to attack someone. He's been known to lash out, but that's really only when he's provoked and it's predominantly used as a defense mechanism, one that works a bit too well sometimes. If she's cool with Brady, it's a pretty safe bet that she'd be cool with Noah, since his method of how he treats others is pretty much controlled by what Brady thinks of them. And since the two started dating, he's mellowed out quite a bit. But you obviously know more about your character than I do, so if you don't see these two getting along, then I suppose there isn't much I can do.

GRIFFIN & CAROL
He's all for that! He's a total people pleaser and he loves to make people laugh, so having a friend who follows his videos would probably make his day infinitely times better c:

MASON & CAROL
Okay I'm actually really interested to see how these two interact. Mason isn't complex but he's definitely got something going on, and I think it would be fun to see how he interacts with someone that could easily hand back what he gives out. If she's brutally honest, as you put it, he'd definitely find her interesting. I think these two could be pretty good friends, actually. I don't know how well Mason would be when it comes to protecting people, but he'd probably try to help out however he can.

He'd enjoy talking to her! Especially since she doesn't seem the type to automatically assume he can't take care of himself. i've already given you my character bios so this time it's all me! let's see what i can come up with for joel, shall we? these are the ones that stand out the most for me, but you've read the bios and if someone else stands out for you, throw them in your reply!!!

ARA & JOEL - i can already see this one clear as day. ara is a jock, she's a competitive surfer and she loves sports. most of the time she's a tomboy, but she does know how to clean up and be a girl, she's just more comfortable as a tomboy. ara is down to earth, grounded and is nothing like the other brentwood snobby bitches, she actually can't stand that sort of thing. she can be sweet, she's sassy and cross her you'll find out she's a total spitfire. ara is independent and doesn't go for the whole girly, damsel in distress routine. Basically she's just a typical teenager, doing her thing. i can see her having the biggest crush on joel. whether he would even entertain the idea of a freshman is obviously up to you, but either way it could make for a fun little plot, no?

BRADY & JOEL - i think these two could get along well enough! brady is a senior and he loves sports. he's the captain of the baseball team and he's also on the basketball team. if joel is mischievous then he and brady could definitely have some good times finding some stupidly fun stuff to do.

KINGSTON & JOEL - the fact that he's from detroit makes me happy! kingston is also from detroit and just moved to brentwood over the summer. he and his brother bentley (along with a few of their boys) had a band back in detroit, got signed by a major record label. kingston's reckless and immature behavior eventually lead them to getting dropped from the label and due to that and all the rumors that he got someone pregnant and other bad things, his family moved to california to start over. i would love it if these two knew each other. whether they're friends or not, i'm leaning more toward joel wouldn't be fond of kingston and his cocky attitude.

Joel’s laidback, so I don’t think he’ll be too irritated by Kingston’s attitude in fact I think he’d just be like “--what the I don’t even” HAHA Though I actually reckon Kingston might get annoyed by Joel’s “I don’t give a crap” attitude towards him. I actually have this feeling these two will be quite comedic if placed together xD

well i can already tell he would be the guy that she would think was her type of guy so she may fall for him quite easily. like i said before, i'm not sure if he would entertain the idea of dating a freshman, even for a short time (doesn't have to be a long term thing). she has two older brothers, so even there could be some epic drama.

BRADY & JOEL
i think these two could definitely be friends! brady's pretty good at convincing people to have fun.

KINGSTON & JOEL
i think these two could be fun together, a definite oil and water type situation and kingston would have no idea he was at brentwood so blast from his past sort of thing.
